Stockton Golf and Country Club was established in 1914 by a group of local citizens when there were only three golf courses in California. The club house was an elegant building that sat overlooking the channel, and soon SG & CC became known for it's charm and grace. The building of the new golf and country club caused interest to spread like wildfire.
